  • Decided to spend a few hours here to get a bit of history about Leeds. Entrance really cheap £3.80 per adult and great value for money. Try to attend a tour (free) from one of their excellent staff, i...  more »

  • Excellent look in to the industrial movement in Leeds and West Yorkshire. There are lots of machines which clearly still work for demonstrations occasionally- it would be good to see these in action when visiting in future. Not too long, allow 90-120 minutes. Good value, free parking and restaurants nearby over the bridge in Cardigan Fields.
  • A Leeds gem. An amazing museum collection and building, for both kids and adults. Has a little 'honesty box' cafe space and activities for kids. Hidden away by the canal in Armley.
  • Not so many exhibitions but going through hard times after December floods so hope will improve
  • This very nice museum offers a unique insight into the processes of producing fabrics before and during the industrial revolution. The guide tour is definetly recommended and very entertaining and informative. In addition to the manufacturing of fabrics, there are exhibitions on industrial and technical advances from the industrial revolution onward. Also there is an awesome collection of old but mostly still usable machinery. Note: Due to a flood in the winter 2015/2016, some sections were closed at the time of this writing, therefore only 4 stars, definetly 5 otherwise.
  • A good insight to leeds industrial past and a very good museum to visit .
