Well worth a visit with some old film on children's life in school which I found interesting and stories of the war in Leeds.
Enjoyable way to spend a few hours. The basements level is good for younger children as well as adults, but for me the two upper floors were by far the best parts. Well laid out and a great collection of historical artifacts on display. The café is brilliant and very well priced too.
Great exhibition currently on looking at the role the people of leeds took in world war one to mark the anniversary. great for an afternoon.
Good place to spend an afternoon. Has a nice section on Leeds history. Also there's a partially unwrapped mummy hidden away on the 3rd floor which was a fantastic find! Had a great time here.
Initially disappointed as the entrance and first floor are empty apart ftpm a big map on the floor but that all ganged when you go upstairs. Some excellent and interesting items really well laid out with lots of information backed up by some very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
It is not that big but good to visit especially you are interested in history or animals. But it you are not, still good. Free entrance fee.
