  • The Leeds Museum has a small collection of articles from around the world. However some of the collection came from the 1800's when British sailors explored the world. There is a partial skeleton of a...  more »
  • This is an interesting place which shows you the history of the city from ancient times till today. However, it will be most interesting for kids and young teenagers. Free entry.  more »
  • My family have spent a few hours here on a couple of occasions.It is great considering it is FREE! There is lots to see/do/read.  more »

  • I came here one rainy day with my 4 and 2 year old, they particularly loved the bottom floor and the animal displays, we spent a good 2-3 hours here exploring each of the floors. Special mention to the lovely cafe as we brought our own food, hoping for a picnic later but the rain never let up, they were very warm and welcoming and didn't mind us sitting in to eat. Really enjoyed our time here.
  • Really really love the bones exhibit on here currently!! Super exciting and interesting. The museum never gets old, wonderful day out in Leeds again and again and again!
  • Great for the kids as the exhibits are very interactive. They also had lots of places to play. Much bigger than expected inside and well thought out. Very clean facilities and friendly staff. Lovely child friendly cafe which also sold gluten free products. Free entry.
  • Natural history, Egyptology or cake... The museum has a very varied mix of things to see and do. Bugs under a microscope, tigers in a case, giant seashells in a window, rare furniture or an ancient mummy. You'll need the tasty cafe to sit and ponder the dozens of bizarre things you can see in a just a few interesting hours. There is no car park and the Museum is closed on Monday's. Sometimes the temporary display hall is empty and feels neglected - but it is a useful presentation space for visiting groups and events. There are disabled access toilets and lifts to all floors. Wheelchair and pushchair access is via the cafe.
  • Some exhibits are very good, the Skeleton one in particular. Some others not so and could do with a referb. The Leeds history section is very good.
