  • Wonderful attraction, the birds, lovely walk around the lake to the walled friut and veg garden. The highlight, though, was the feeding of the local red kites, which happened within feet of us!
  • Excellent for all ages of children & changes displays regularly. House is great to visit and some activities for the children inside to keep them interested. An all round favourite for us. Although it...  more »
  • This is an OK destination. Compared with other big stately homes in Yorkshire, there is less to the house. The gardens and grounds are fun to explore and wander around. The bird garden is getting a bi...  more »

  • We visited the Festive Fair but still had access to the grounds (the house itself shut at the end of October for the season). It was great to see the animals (although it was impossible to stroke the donkeys for some reason!) .The lake is worth a visit and I loved the Bird Garden.
  • Poor do really. Turned up at house with the kids,to do biscuit decorating. But they had finished earlier than advertised. Kids were really disappointed. Had a look at the exhibition, although the monitors did not work, either. Fantastic!
  • Brilliant day out. Huge gardens and plenty to do for all the family. Talks and feeding of animals for the children. House is beautiful and well preserved with informative staff. Play area is large and fantastic with plenty of picnic opportunities. Pricing is a bit steep but annual membership is reasonable if you plan to revisit.
  • Fantastic place for a day out with loads of animals & birds to see & pet. Checkout wowcher/groupon for discounted tickets...
  • Been a Harwood House card holder for years and visited the café on the veranda many times in the past. What has happened to it?? What was once almost silver service with menus, table service, lovely china cups and tea/coffee pots and only paying on finishing your refreshments has effectively disappeared. Now it's like a third rate café, no menus, very little food choice, pay up front with awful base china. No wonder the place was empty at 2pm. Pity.
