  • Good place for a day out. Kids loved the animals up close, the reptile roadshow was a big hit with lots of good info from the team there. The pig race is hilarious and has to be watched. Bradley Piggins got my cheers! Indoor play centre is pretty spacious and has lots of good activities to keep the kids busy if the weather turns a bit iffy.
  • I cannot recommend this highly enough. Mixed group of toddlers, parents and grandparents, we had a great day out on one of those days where the sun was shining madly then suddenly there was a cloud burst. No problem! Mid-week term time in October, there were not many customers, so our two (aged 2 & 5) had the full run of everything. And unlike many attractions, most things (except the tractor ride round the farm, the pony rides, and the electrically-operated excavators) were free. There is a tearoom. I'll say at this point that this was excellent. Full English breakfast all day long for well under £10, for example, and cooked fresh to order as was everything else. This means that you had to wait for it, and on a busy day this might have been a longer wait, but we were happy. There are also loads of picnic spots around, outdoors ones, some with rooves to keep you dry or cool, and the little ones play barn had a large area with tables and chairs, so you could bring your own food too. I will also say at this point that the staff everywhere were just wonderful. Clearly chosen for their empathy both with animals and with small children, I cannot praise them enough. So, back to the visit! We paid and went into the first barn. There was a full-sized tractor for them to climb up on, play with the steering wheel etc. There was also a race course with toddler-sized and also bigger pedal tractors, going round, into a tunnel, to the pit-stop to fill up with petrol . . . they loved that. We then dragged them away and put them on the trampolines where they bounced up and down very happily until it was time to watch the goats being milked. When you go in they give you a plan, so check out what is where, and on a showery day decide where to go while the sun shines, ready to dash in for a different experience when the heavens open. They also give you a sheet with the timings for the day's activities: Goat Milking, Animal Handling, Pig Racing (Yes!) etc. The Goat Milking was in the little indoors farm, near the trampoline. There were loads of cages of small animals, and the chipmunks had a wire run that went up the wall and over the door that caused the little ones to squeal. They squealed at the milking too. "Look, Mummy, he's weeing milk!". Should put them off cornflakes for life. The Animal Handling - which included fluffy things and a remarkably happy hen - was also here. Many thanks and compliments to the super staff. Outside there were loads of animals, some nearby in stables and pens, others in the paddocks. Horses, poneys, donkeys, goats of all sizes, sheep, llamas, deer, and racing pigs. Do not miss the pig race! The staff hand out flags to the children to cheer on their favourite. Also outdoors is an amazing playground - about 20 times the size of your local park. There's a "beach" or giant sand box, with loads of buckets and spades. The excavators (£1 in the slot - Dads will like it too!). All sorts of super-sized swings, roundabouts, sliders, trampolines. Go-carts in child and adult sizes. Pirate ship. Just the playground could keep the kids amused all day. Inside again there's the large animal barn, with, er, large animals . . . as opposed to the soft fluffy ones. Oh, I nearly forgot! When you come in, buy some bags of animal food - one per child plus an emergency extra in Mum's handbag. The animals, large and small, are all very tame and love to slurp the food pellets off sticky little hands. There are excellent, excellent hand washing facilities all over the place, with soap, warm water, paper towels and air dryers and a dozen child-height sinks at a time. The pieces de resistance, however, are the two (heated) play barns. Two, for those over and those under 1 metre tall. Ropes and ladders and bridges and gigantic slides. Wonderful fun. The whole of Bockett's farm was the best possible day out for the children. Everything was designed to catch their interest. Even the tea-rooms had books and toys. We stayed six hours. Six. And we had to drag them home. You will love it! .
  • A wonderful place for young children and animal loving adults too! So much to do come rain or shine! Very well organised with lots of very friendly and helpful staff. Although it's worth every penny we don't go as often as we'd like due to cost. Given adults don't really use the facilities I think cost for us is high. Still my favourite day out with my 3 year old son.
  • Great place to take kids. Not a single fault. The place is fun, clean and has plenty to do!
  • Bocketts farm and kids exercise farm! If you want a full day of outdoor and indoor fun with kids upto 7 this is the place. Brilliant animals (including seasonal events like lambs being born) Amazing outdoor (and indoor) activities. The best parks for miles around. Pedal go karts, bouncing pillows, big slides indoor and outdoor, pirate ship and treehouse. Best of all it's the same price for a day as most pay soft plays are for a few hours. Well run, and keeps on improving each year. We've been going since 2011. Staff are all friendly and helpful Hard to find somewhere better
