Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa

Once a place for only the wealthy to appreciate, Leamington Spa's Jephson Gardens sits near the center of town and is a local favorite. Existing since 1834, this park extends for 5.9 hectares (14.6 acres), providing plenty of space for you to stroll among the flower displays. Take in the park's tranquility while relaxing in the Aviary Cafe, located in a restored tea pavilion. Feed the ducks on the lake or rent a boat and explore the neighboring River Leam. Be sure to see the "Glasshouse," a multi-temperature zone growing different plant species, and the stone sculptures within. • Very good piece of nature. It is just near a river, a small height waterfall can be seen. There is a memorial in there and a glass house with some exotic plants and flowers inside. You can walk around through the trees and on the grass. You can find a small coffee shop inside. At the other end there is a small house you can see some art works inside and find an opportunity to chat with artists of those art works. The admission was free when I visited, should be free normally.
  • Great park right in the town centre - I like it very much. It's got birds feeding space, free green house to visit, coffee shop and a decent length of paths to stroll down. Also, home to many grey squirrels which don't run away from the humans! Well worth the visit!
  • I walk through this park pretty well every day. It's beautifully kept by the gardeners who work all year long. If you walk from the Willes rd end and carry on across the Parade, through Pump room gardens, across and along the river, through the tunnel you come out in Victoria park. That's a very pleasant walk rain or shine.
  • A lovely park with lots to do. There is a cafe, river, boat centre where you can hire boats, canoes etc., play area for the kids, sensory garden and a heated plant house. We spent about 3 hours there today and our 4 year old had a great time running around. We also saw squirrels, mallards, Canadian geese and a grey heron plus many other birds.
  • I love it here, a great place to relax, enjoy the well kept gardens. Nice to have a picnic on a hot day, by the river. I tend to walk through on the way to town
