  • A delightful garden that takes my breath away every summer. I wish my borders looked like that. Aside from the garden, it's a great place for a walk, or to take the children for a run around. Loads of space. Highly recommended. Small shop. Interesting old house. The tea room/restaurant gets very busy at weekend lunchtimes, so we always avoid it at that time. When you can get a seat, the tea and cake is great. Toilets are not the best, but don't let that put you off!
  • Packwood House is a beautiful house owned by the amazing National Trust. I have visited this site on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and are willing to assist your every need. On your walk around the house there are plenty of folders housing information about the rooms and their long history as a home. The volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and never fail to teach you something new. I would definitely recommend this property.
  • Superb National trust house in Lapworth, just south of Birmingham. Helpful guides within the main historic building, with a lovely on site cafe / restaurant, book shop and children's play area. Beautiful gardens, kitchen garden and surrounding parklands for walking, and relaxing in the summer sun. Very much a place to escape the overcrowded city centre parks to enjoy a bit of country history!
  • Fantastic place for the family, lovely grounds to walk in and very interesting house. The perfect spot for a picnic on the lawn.
  • Fascinating history to this house. The trust and its volunteers have done a great job of bringing out the character of its former owner; walking round the house gives you a real sense of who Mr Ash was and what he was trying to achieve. Without a doubt one of the best NT properties we have visited.
