  • To think the amount of work done to this house, yet it looks like it was all built in the 1500's. A great effort by Baron Ash to make the house as authentic as possible and restore it to its former gl...  more »

  • Brilliant national trust property. Really atmospheric house, which unusually is great for kids. Fantastic grounds with loads to do. Highlights are welly walk, walled garden and walk round lake. Doesn't look much but probably one of the best around for families. Worth becoming a member. Lots of free parking.
  • National Trust Members. One of our favourite places in the NT. We had a brilliant day out here. The grounds are great. Kitchen gardens have a really nice teddy bear picnic area and teddy bear house to entertain the kids while the adults wander the gardens. Really good idea. The house was gorgeous. It was remodelled in the 1930's by its owner. A love for expensive clothes and freshly cut flowers. Gorgeous. A 200 year old tree garden to chase around with secret hedges and hidden gems. The only down side was the lack of children's play area and picnic tables. There are some, but not that many although there is the usual tea room selling lovely home made cakes.
  • Fantastic day out. Gardens are stunning with plenty to keep you interested. Long walks around the park make the coffee and cake feel less guilty. Ample parking, excellent staff and signage.
  • Interesting house with some nice stories. Big car park and cafe over the road. Beautiful flower garden. Good walk through the woods and around the lake. Combine with a visit to nearby Baddesley Clinton.
  • Great for a day out or just for a short walk in the grounds. Staff very friendly and restaurant very nice. The walks in the fields are free and highly recommend and on top of that you can take your dog as well.
