Diggerland Durham Reviews

We visited Diggerland Durham on a warm Sunday in August. We arrived at 11am to find plenty of spaces to park still. At approximately £20 per person including our 7 year old we were happy to have a 25%... more »

Lets start with the positives, the rides were brilliant, our 2 year old loved them!!! He is just over the 90cm height so could pretty much go on anything, there was only one or two that he couldn't as... more »

We paid £10 pp on a social media deal. I think this is a fair price as I wouldn't pay the £20 pp it normally is although it may be warranted for how costly the vehicles are. My little boy had fun tryi... more »
I visited Diggerland Durham with my 5 year old son, husband and 4 month old daughter (in her pushchair) a couple of weeks ago and we all agreed it was a great day out. Loads to do (I really mean loads) for everyone. As you can imagine my 5 year old and husband had the time of their lives and there are even activities for young teens who may pull 'that face' when told they're going to a theme park with their younger siblings 😂 The day was enjoyable from the minute we arrived, easy access for the pushchair, no queues and the thing that really made our day out fantastic was the staff. They really are amazing, the training Diggerland must give to their staff on customer relations is A class. They're knowledgeable, funny, chatty, helpful to name a few and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs. We are definitely returning and can't wait 😊
Me and my family visited here for my Son's 2nd birthday and we weren't disappointed. He absolutely LOVES diggers and was amazed by it all! There was plenty to do for him, although height restrictions on some rides, he thoroughly enjoyed it all and there's a soft play too which is a bonus! We are thinking of booking his 3rd birthday party here as we know he will be ecstatic. See you soon!
No two ways about it, the entrance fee is expensive, really expensive. But then you are talking about £40, £50k plus machines that you get to play with, so fare enough. I would have rated it 5 stars had it not been for the level of £1 fee rides when you're in the park and how they were mixed with the free rides so the kids are on them expecting a go before you can manage expectations. That being said the hot food was a real bargain, 3 of us fed for £8. A kids chicken nugget meal, Panini and pie and chips. Amazing. Decent soft play and toilet facilities. Compact site with loads to do. We were there for 5 hours and there was hardly anything my 3 year old couldn't ride on with one of us and a surprising amount he could operate himself. A great day out for kids and adults alike.
Not the cheapest place around, but certainly value for money. Great day out for two thirty-sometgings and a four year old. Not horrendously busy - able to get on most rides within 5 minutes. Facilities clean and plentiful. Food was cheap and cheerful and plenty of space to sit and eat. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint with the place is having to wrangle the 4 year old through the gift shop on the way out.
We had a great day out at Diggerland. There was lots to do and the staff were really helpful and friendly. My 3 year old was in his element. I can't comment on the food facilities as we took a picnic but there is the option to buy food if needed. Highly recommended and we will be returning.
