  • Interesting architecture. There's a lovely cafe with great cakes. The lady in the gift shop was very knowledgeable
  • A visit to this memorable site is highly recommended with lots of history an interesting location close to Hadrian s wall and a very pleasant caf
  • A very historic site. Entry is free to the Priory with a charge to the rest of the area. Good photo opportunities inside. Sadly some scaffolding outside is spoiling the look of the front which is there to protect the public from falling masonry.
  • As a keen cyclist its a great place for a coffee stop always warm and inviting and guaranteed great food or snacks.
  • Nice combo of gift shop and cafĂ©. Good stopping point if you are walking 'the wall'.
