  • Bewl Water is open to the public even in January. Granted, no water sports were available during our visit, but it’s still a nice peaceful walk around the reservoir.  more »

  • Fantastic location for a lovely walk with family. Peaceful and quiet - there is a rowing club in the locale. Get your wellies on as it could be squelchy when wet
  • Lovely scenic place to go. Great walks and cycle track. Excellent play park for the kids and loads of picnic area space.
  • Nice place to go for a walk, miles of 'coast' to wander along. Boat trips around the reservoir are reasonably priced and offer nice views of bits you wouldn't normally see. Plenty of boats out with people fishing. Cafe near the car park with seating over looking the water. Bike hire on site too, didn't see pricing for that.
  • Bewl Water is a lovely place to go for a walk. There are footpaths along the border of most of the reservoir, meaning you can get some great sights of wildlife and recreation on the water. The paths are easy to walk with only a few slopes, gates, and other obstacles. There is also a wide range of countryside including woodland, grassland, and other open areas. There are plenty of bikes around. If you wanted to go around the entire reservoir, it would be a good idea to get a bike (It's a very long way). There were also lots of people on the water taking part in water sports. If I am back in the area, I might give one of the sports a go! I also think I'll try the café next time.
  • Lovely day out great place for a picnic.
