  • Really well laid out and extremely interesting displays. The two best were the information about the asteroid, and the railway expo.
  • Interesting place to visit in Lairg. We were recommended to go by our campsite host, as there is a new exhibition about a recent discovery of a asteroid striking the area (1200 million years ago). Local children have made some lovely posters, that can be seen on the path to the centre entrance. The display inside is very informative and describes how the crater was found and how it was formed. We also read the local history of how Lairg was founded and developed. There's plenty to see and do especially for youngsters, both inside and out and admission is free.
  • Stopped in for a coffee and browse through the centre reading about the meteor landing. Fantastic information and well worth the visit. Outside there us a small play area for children with a small zipwire, our grandsons and neice had a great time here then for a little walk up the hill. The staff in the centre were so helpful and informative too. Great 30 minutes stop off.
  • What a gem of a place. Don't pass it, stop there. Fascinating history of the area from geology to humanity. Both walks are a must the views from the hill breathtaking with ancient history all around. Very friendly staff.
  • Friendly staff free Wi-Fi
