See how the 18th-century British aristocracy lived at Tatton Park. This complete estate includes a manor house dating to the Medieval period, manicured gardens, and a deer park of 405 hectares (1,000 acres). Start your visit in the mansion, which houses Gillows of Lancaster furniture, a large collection of paintings, and one of the best libraries of any home in the UK's National Trust. Next, explore the 20 hectares (50 acres) of gardens, including a Japanese garden, a hedgerow maze, and an arboretum with about 900 plants. Afterward, head to the on-site farm to feed goats and pet donkeys. If you want to spend more time in the English countryside, consider renting one of the park's stately apartments or cottages. Our Knutsford day trip site makes visiting Tatton Park and other Knutsford attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Stopped off on way home from Scotland holiday. Really lovely place. Excellent gardens and views. Very clean. NT members still have to pay £9 to park so a bit disappointed with this, but overall experience was good.

A fantastic day out. You really need all day to see the gardens. Check the Japanese garden amazing. Great for kids and dogs alike. Good food could go on and on, just go there.

I visited Tatton Park today and it was a great place. The gardens were immaculate and mature, especially the Chinese garden. The food at the cafe was very nice but quite expensive. I would definitely go back and visit the Mansion next time too. It's a great day out for all ages 5*

Really nice national trust park. Has a Cafe and lots of fresh farm produce shops available. Also has a farm and garden but I think they cost extra. Lots of wildlife to be seen along the trails. Only complaint is a lot of the trails are shared with cars and due to the location you often hear planes flying very low.

Absolutely stunning gardens and grounds, and the mansion House is a great place to look around. There is only one eating place with a limited menu, picnic is the way to go especially if you have kids, and 1 lot of toilets in the courtyard so don't get caught short when exploring the grounds,. Well worth a visit as prices are good and national trust members go free, just pay for the parking, Enjoy 💐
