  • as it was a bit before Christmas & the town was busy we ended up going to the Centre thinking we'd have lunch there. They had an exstensive menu & we agreed both menu & prices look OK , up we went to ...  more »
  • Not a place to recommend for food. Staff were handling food with bare hands, no customer service skills. Only people at the till, waited patiently, only to be ignored for ages, not even a ‘one moment ...  more »
  • On a day of particularly bad weather we ventured to the Pickaquoy Centre cinema - only one screen but it was clean and comfortable, and we were even able to buy a cup of tea to take in with us to help...  more »

  • I was really thinking impressed with this place. The cinema is good with a selection of films available. The swimming pool is excellent, there is a good sized area for younger children as well as a normal deeper pool beside it. The changing facilities were excellent with good sized changing cubicles. Many larger facilities should take note.
  • Not sure what this place is like for its activities but I know it does have a large pull and climbing wall, along with a bouldering cave which you cannot gain entrance to until you've had an 'induction' . I came to the centre to speak at an event. If you're thinking of hiring for a corporate event I was recommend that you do not hire the Grainery room when the cinema is on next door. The studio however, seemed to work really well, until the air conditioning came on and delegates could not hear at the back. It's still a good central venue and the staff done all they can to make the event a huge success.
  • Really enjoyed using this facility. The pool is well used with a flexible time table that encourages users. Friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout. The cafe is clean and offers well priced tasty food and coffee.
  • Fully accessible for wheelchairs. The swimming pool changing room includes hoists and adult-size changing bed. There is also a pool-side lift to lower waterproof wheelchairs into the main pool. There is a lift between ther 3 floors of the centre and a ramp from the parking for the disabled area to double doors openable with a push button. The Cinema includes wheelchair spaces at the back and weekly subtitled films for the hard of hearing. There are wheelchair friendly posts at Reception and tables in the cafe.
  • Excellent facilities and not crowded. Very friendly and helpful staff.
