Explore the nooks and crannies of MacLellan's Castle for a trip back in time. The 16th-century edifice, now in partial ruins and covered in ivy, served as the home for the MacLellan family and was later owned by the Earls of Selkirk. Peek below the stairs to get a sense of how the family servants lived, witness secret conversations through the disguised spy hole, and gaze out at the castle's beautiful surroundings from the tower. Make sure to bring your camera along, as the castle provides a great backdrop for some magical vacation photos. I'm sure it's a lovely place but Google something or other seems to think I visited it but I didn't. I gave it 5 stars because I felt like it. Maybe I shall visit it some day. But for now I'm afraid you'll have to visit it yourself to see what its like
Was such a lovely day. Kirkcudbright is a lovely place to walk around
Not the biggest castle to go around for the price but still worth a look as it's part of history
It's in the middle of where the Glasgow Boys and girls lived and painted. Always go to the town hall gallery is great
