  • There are plaques either end of the bridge with interesting information about the bridges history however I prefer the urban myth of how the bridge was named, just for sentimental reasons I suppose.  more »
  • This is a must when in the area. Great views and a lovely place to have a picnic. Lovely walk by the river Lune.  more »

  • A very attractive historical site with good views of the river and some genuinely interesting information on the sign nearby providing some of the history. There was a nearby ice cream can too, which was a bonus.
  • Fantastic scenery, the place to go for a brew and food after a stroll along the river. It's also the place to browse the collection of two wheeled machines that gather all year round. A go to place for all bikers to stop off at.
  • Motorcycle meeting point on sundays there is a snackvan there and icecream van ans toilets are 20p to use
  • A famous landmark is this bridge over the River Lune. Situated just outside of the small town of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria it is a very picturesque structure so named because of the "devil's" footprint which can be found on one of the bridge's coping stones. No traffic is allowed on the bridge but the apron fronting the A684 road users a magnet for motor cycle enthusiasts every Sunday afternoon.
  • Great to meet fellow bikers and chat about bikes and anything else that comes to mind!
