East Park, Kingston-upon-Hull

(4.6/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Hull's largest park, East Park offers space to move, relax, and learn. Take a stroll around quiet trails, brave a ride on the Wicksteed splash boat, visit an animal education center, or enjoy afternoon tea in the cafe. For a special treat, visit the walk-through aviary. It's one of the largest in the country and includes Koi carp, waterfall gardens, and exotic birds. To top it off, stop by the lake and take a ride in a swan pedal boat or a more traditional row boat. All boats run from the wooden jetty in front of the boathouse. Put East Park into our Kingston-upon-Hull trip generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Peaceful, calming, relaxing even when it's busy. Beautiful setting and scenery. Everything from a Boating Lake to a Cafe (with clean toilets!) to a Zoo to Remembrance Statues to the fallen x You could quite easily spend a full-day Herr and it won't cost you a penny - just remember to bring a packed lunch, although the cafe does lively food at reasonable prices 😜 Winter, Spring, Autumn or Summer, you won't be disappointed on any day!
  • A lovely park that hosts plenty of varied events from the Veterans Weekend which I highly recommend to Fairs and Car Shows. There is a nice animal enclosure and the rock climbing area and splash boat bring back great childhood memories. The parkrun on a Saturday morning is very popular and is a great route taking you round the lake just watch out for the geese. Only thing I find frustrating is that they close the toilets at the food pavilion quite early when the park is open late during the summer and the other toilets located near the boating lake could do with a bit of a sprucing up.
  • Great public facility. Nice cafe. Great animals section. Good walks. Nice park equipment.
  • Without question the best park in Hull. Gigantic open spaces, lovely avenues of trees, perfectly kept gardens, brilliant kids play area, boating lake, model boating lake, modern cafe and animal park with great Avery. Easy parking. Often a venue for great events.
  • Great venue for events for all the family. Play area for the kids and even a zoo/animal education centre. Well worth a visit.
