Arctic Corsair, Kingston-upon-Hull

Specialty Museum · Hidden Gem · Museum
The Arctic Corsair (H320) is a deep-sea trawler, built in 1960, that was converted to a museum ship in 1999. She is temporarily berthed at Alexandra Dock in Kingston upon Hull, England, pending completion of a new permanent location in the city's Museums Quarter. • We visited the Artic Corsair with my little family (including our young daughter and her nana) We had a brilliant tour with cliff - who was so amazing and very patient with our little girl as my wife and I took it in turns to ask him questions. This experience is amazing and everyone should get see living history in this way! Nana loved it too!! Thank you so much for your time and we will be following the move to the dry dock!
  • The Arctic Corsair is the last Hull based Stern Trawler in existence. We had a completely free, guided tour of it by an ex-trawler man volunteer. He had some amazing and engaging stories and facts. It's an incredible tour.
  • The best hour and a half on my 3 day trip
  • Very good insight to the practical aspects of the trawler.
  • Well worth a visit. See hands on how it was on a trawler for all the lucky and the unfortunate.
