  • I almost want to weep. Make it a bit multimedia, put a few more signs around the place, and it would be fab, and totally memorable. The place itself is impressive, and well worth the visit, and there ...  more »
  • It's good if this is your first castle. It is cheap if you are an EH member. One of the staff ladies isn't very friendly.  more »
  • Haven't been to Castle Rising for years so it was great to go back and have another look around. Great to see so much of the castle still in excellent condition. You get a real feel for how the castle...  more »

  • For all holiday makers visiting the UK like we, this castle is a must, not much for the children for for history lovers a real bargain. A well preserved Castle which offers a sense of what life would have been like in those days. Parking is Free although be careful not to miss the signs. We had a lovely hot summers day but was pested by some kind of beetle as we wore yellow. We really enjoyed our visit a can only recommend it further.
  • Not a huge amount to see or do. You definitely couldn't make a day of it, an hour or two maybe. Still worth a visit though, it very imposing and interesting to look round
  • There's not loads to see but the price goes to the upkeep of places like this so it's worth the £4 or so. Well preserved castle which you can explore but only takes 10minutes or so to get around it. Still an important bit of history that should be preserved.
  • Fascinating castle. Cheap entry. Dogs welcome. Lots of space for children to play in the grounds.
  • Perfectly restored to create a sense of what was but retain its ruined authenticity. Your imagination and kids can run wild.
