  • Like many travelers who make the single track, lengthy trip to the edge of the island, this was a must see. It didn't disappoint. To start with the views on a stunning, sunny day in July were wonderfu...  more »

  • Great experience at the British mainland's most western point. Enjoy breathtaking views of the west highland coastline from a fantastic vantage point atop the lighthouse. The tour guide is knowledgeable and entertaining, and the self-guided museum is also of interest. Well maintained and well run, a great attraction overall. Tea-room needs some attention, but well stocked with cakes shipped over from Tobermory on Mull.
  • Well worth the trip. Plan to spend all morning or afternoon if weather is good. Pack some food but also spend some money in the local cafe! You might be lucky and see some wonderful wild life from the top of the lighthouse or mainland. We'd recommend the exhibition too although it needs updating. More IT and interaction for children is a necessary needed upgrade.
  • The most Westerly point of UK is a definite visit if in Ardnamurchan or around that area. If able clamber on rocks and feel the salt air in your face while waves crashing on rocks. Shame the light house was closed for maintenance but the cafe did make great coffee and loads of home baked cake.
  • A long way from anywhere, but has stunning views. The cafe entrance is quite cramped, but is well worth a visit too. The lighthouse tour is also excellent - I was fortunate to get a personal tour. Bear in mind that there are a lot of steps to get up to the top, and you need to be fairly agile to get to the different levels once you get to the top.
  • Lovely spot and great for sunsets Whale and Dolphins sighting among other things. Peaceful but a long way from anywhere.
