  • Visited this birds of pray centre today with my wife and 2 kids. The weather wasn't the best but we were met with great staff who ensured us a good amount of contact with as many birds as possible! Petting the small owls we were told so much information on each bird is was fascinating. We walked around despite the rain and took loads of photos of eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, pelicans, kookaburra, many owls and then the wallabies and deer at the field over the back. Kids enjoyed the up close aspect of the birds and we did too. Bought the kids a keepsake on the way out. This place is better than the centre at Haggerston Castle (IMO) and doesn't receive funding and relies on donations and admission fees (£21 for all day family ticket) please visit and discover the surrounding areas too!!
  • FanTASTIC place. Great committed people who have a great love for what they're doing: both the birds and sharing their enthusiasm with people. Small and personal but so amazing.
  • My family and I visited here on bank holiday Monday and can honestly say this is the best bird of pray centre we have been to. On the flight demonstrations i was amazed to see the sea eagle being flown, but what topped it for me was you didn't just watch the show, the staff encouraged you to get involved, by either holding the birds or throwing the food for them to catch In mid air. My 2 year old son got to hold 3 of the birds as well as feed the baby owls. The staff were fantasic and had plenty of time to talk to you about the birds. As a family we had a fantastic day and would highly recommend it to others to visit.
