(3.6/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy rollercoasters, boat rides, train rides, and camping in the natural setting of Wicksteed Park. Make your way around four themed areas. In Arena, thrill yourself on the venue's bigger rides, such as Flying Chairs, Revolving Paratrooper, Ladybird Coaster, and Rocky River Falls log flume. Make sure you're ready to get wet on the watery rides and attractions around Lakeside. Fairground features rides for kids up to the age of 13 or 14, and Playground offers a free jungle gym. Ride the heritage Wicksteed Park Railway around the venue, and pitch a tent in the campground if you want to spend the night. • We went in Autumn half term. There was a cheapish deal but some of the attractions were not working. The kids loved it but from an Adult point of view there was not a huge number of attractions and I could imagine the queues would be horrendous in peak season. The well advertised zip wire was not working and we were shocked to find it cost an extra £6 ish on top of a wristband. This is not mentioned on their website as far as I can see. Ending on a positive. It was nice to be able to park right by the rides so we could eat a packed lunch easily. Also the grounds look great.
  • Don't let the out of date rides and poor service by school kids put you off, this place is actually loads of fun! When you go on a ride like nemesis at Thorpe Park you kind of know your not in any real danger so as thrilling as it is you kind if feel safe. With this place though there were several rides where I thought I might actually die, it was exhilarating! Been a couple of times now, would recommend
  • Been coming here since I was a child. Great place. Lovely park, train ride a must. Slightly tired in parts but doesn't detract from the charm
  • I've loved Wicksteed Park since I was young and my kids now love it too. It's always a great day out and it's not outrageously priced too. These days there's a great variety of attractions as well as some of my favourites from when I was growing up. And the playground has been expanded recently with new climbing equipment and more seating space. There's a good selection os resonably-priced food. To be honest, we've never had a bad day at Wicksteed and it's perfect for families with young children.
  • Amazing park! It has many rides for younger children and for older children. I think The Rides are amazing particularly the log flume and the Big rollercoaster. It contains lots of animals including Mia cats, goats, sheep , cows and even more! The management is very good , all the rides are fun and very safe. This is great for a family day out!
