This must be one of the best preserved of the 3 remaining Eleanor Crosses and there is an interesting church there as well.
Of the 14 originally built to mark every resting place on her body's journey from Nottingham to London, only 3 remain. This is the best example.

Totally stunning piece of work. He must have loved her so much as this is truly a beautiful tribute to Eleanor.
One of the few Eleanor crosses still standing. Still in good condition. Worth a walk over the old stone bridge and ford just 100 yards south along Queen Street.
