Where to stay in Keswick

Cottages and B&Bs are scattered over the valley, and many offer views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. The town center's Victorian edifices often hide guestrooms that overlook the charming streets. Consider a B&B or inn with views of the hills close to the town center and enjoy the best of both worlds.

  • The high ropes adventure is great for kids. My kids are 8 and 10 and had a great afternoon. They do wish they did the zip wire but I was unaware that you had to pay more for that one. Definitely recom...  more »

  • My kids had a great time on the climbing walls, on the zip lines and in the archery shed. My kids are now big fans of Steve the instructor, who was both informative and friendly. The cafĂ© had nice soups and sandwiches too. Lattes are quite small.
  • Good, friendly climbing wall. Not the biggest, not the best but always welcoming. The cafe food is very good too. The children's climbing session on Saturday mornings is w very good with pleanty of climbing opportunity and excellent instruction.
  • Some of the staff were very helpful and pleasant, but the prices for individual activities will leave you reeling. Archery will only accommodate 4 bow-men at once but they will happily book more and split the group so you effectively get half as long for your money. Zip wire is relatively slow and short given the alternative just over the border which is 5 times the length for about the same price.
  • Great activities, both outdoor and in.. has orienteering, climbing wall, indoor and outdoor archery as well as high and low ropes...
  • In my opinion it was far better where it used to be (not far from Keswick town centre). It's still quite good but I can't help but compare it to how it used to be.
