  • Great to use some spaces that are less corporate for workshops. Very friendly and helpful staff and a much more homely approach than many soleless hotels. I liked its quirkiness.
  • Egremont Mother's Union visited the Tapestry Exhibition on 1st July 2014 and had a wonderful day out. The staff were very helpful and informative and the Tapestry itself was out of this world. Definitely worth a visit. The work involved and the story of the Quakers certainly impressed our members.
  • Although the tapestry is an amazing and impressive achievement, and I visited it with some prior knowledge of Quaker history, I found it confusing and lacking in sufficient explanation so that I could understand the panels and their significance. This exhibition is an amazing achievement and a wonderful example of what can be achieved when people work together. But it left me mystified about the underlying story. It is also quite cramped, so if the exhibition is busy is would be tricky to see everything without feeling pressured.
  • Quakers have done so much to create our modern world. This tapestry represents the wide variety of their achievements.
