  • I go here with my nan and friends occasionally just to have a walk about. Although, the river has started to overflow and it's got rid of the place I used to skim stones with my nan(It's submerged underwater). Other than that, great experience in the tea room and the house etc.
  • What a wonderful place with lots of different things to do. We visited on a Sunday in the summer holidays and while it was busy, the site is more than big enough to accommodate this. We took a picnic and a blanket and sat on the lawn near the grass maze before heading into the house. There were 3 different children's trails on, my almost four year old chose the 'revolting remedies' one and this kept her entertained on the way round the house (although also slightly distracted her from looking at anything else). The volunteers were lovely, offering information when they felt it appropriate and interesting for a little girl. The gardens are lovely and the playground offers children an outlet after being told not to touch 400 year old furniture for 20 minutes with growing exasperation. Tea room is cute and expensive, as with all National Trust properties. Definitely worth a visit.
  • We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you at East Riddlesden Hall for being a part of our wedding on 25th August. From the first meeting to the last you were absolutely fantastic and we couldn't have organised or pulled off the day without you. Having such dedicated coordinators really helped ease the stress from the day and you guys were always on call before the day if we needed anything. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing. Thanks so much again, we would definitely recommend East Riddlesden Hall to anyone thinking of getting married!
  • A gteat place to celebrate and hold weddings. The great barn has been transformed for this reason. You have to visit to see for yourself. Also a great lake where the childten can feed the ducks and birds.
  • Really enjoyed this NT property. Unusual, not stately home but a building and collection that is eclectic and the enthusiasm of the volunteers was great to see. As Wallace would have said A grand day out....
