  • This was the wedding reception venue for our youngest daughter. The whole thing was first class from start to finish - from the booking right through to the final clear up. The staff were incredibly helpful and worked so hard, with no fuss whatsoever, to make it the perfect day. No wonder this is a highly desirable wedding venue! The Hog and Apple catering company were outstanding too; the food, presentation and service was remarkable!
  • The Staff in both souvenir shop and house were extremely friendly and greatly welcoming, people who were present in the rooms of the house were very polite and informative. During the visit, we came across head gardener Jill, who we greatly appreciated for her work in the gardens and overall kind, good hearted nature. We'd like to thank you for the overall experience and we're sure to come back and visit again and would highly recommend people to visit as we're so very happy and pleased with our experience here.
  • I've been to a wedding and the place is nice, though not outstanding. The food is their best feature, then the historic venue and the nice gardens and buildings. I reckon 4 stars is a fair rating considering the whole experience.
  • Very pleasant trip to the house. The surrounding property and garden is very peaceful. Good for a half day family or lonesome outing.
  • Cafe - very spacious, large selection of cakes and sandwiches. Easy to find. Plenty of time to wonder about. Dont forget the bread for the ducks.
