Great view from the perched shed, very fresh seafood (lobster was great), some other local and imported artisanal food, beer avaialable, seating is so-so in terms of comfort and availibility, but over...  more »

Up the first slope of the Talisker Distillery, right away. Walking distance. Oysters are famous, but is so famous is lobster. To pay at the cash register at the back is the system going to get because the dishes are ready, pass the receipt of outside cabins in the call. Where to eat (leaked to Jr's), take out is OK. Credit cards can be used. Parking there. A little souvenir.

...for being rustic and weird in the setting, and for offering really freshly prepared seafood. The scallops and the lobster were great. We tried the oysters, but didn't like them too much. Don't expe...  more »

  • This is one of the most unique places I have ever been to! Nothing fancy....it really is just a shed...but wow! The freshness if the seafood and the stunning views make it really special. If you love seafood and simplicity, you better put this spot on your bucket list...
  • Thoroughly disgusted. We arrived at 1:30 and were told it had been a busy day. We were served two portions of langoustines which were not enough to feed a budgie with a crust of buttered bread for which we paid six pounds fifty per portion. Poor value for money, will definitely not be back and would discourage anyone from wasting their money on this venture.
  • We visited the Oyster Shed on 23rd May and were really disappointed with our meals. I had scallops and my husband had languistine. The scallops were OK, not that tasty, but served with only a tiny slice of soggy bread and a bit of greenery. My husbands laguistines were a rip off, very small some not cooked and not the quality shown when we ordered the meals. This was also served with a soggy piece of bread. We had esxperienced a fish meal on Mull at Fionnphort and I think the Oyster Shed should copy their meals as they were cheaper, more tasty and served with a crisp bread roll and a good salad. I felt the Oyster Shed could do a lot better.
  • The most delicious, delicate scallops of my life. Perfect sweet oysters and thick hearty chips. Very friendly folk, happy to tell their story about how the oyster shed got started. Best meal we had on skye
  • Great location and excellent value seafood cooked by people who know what they are doing.
