  • This is a very interesting and informative visit.Staff are extremely well informed and helpful. Toilets were spotless.Well worth visiting this for insight into Lewis,s history and culture
  • Reconstruction of com lived those Islanders. Smoke that must constantly be a surprise my personally bothered me much. Stroll through the different rooms of the House is that you get an idea of how they lived. The rooms, kitchen, utensils, etc... I also found it very interesting to visit the House abandoned in the 1960s of the last century. Lounge with eyeglasses worn on the top of the table, see the clothes, etc...

  • The black house is an old stone house with a Gorm for thatched roofs. You could see how residents lived on their to. The House is Spartan, furnished and with three alcoves. To get a fine sense of how people lived in the first year after having settled down. Definitely worth a visit Lba
