  • Almost missed this place as no sign visible but it turned out Marko was giving their sign a new coat of paint so it had been taken down. Turned up on spec just as a group were about to do the tour so ...  more »
  • This is a start up whisky operation down by the red river (near Uig Sands, so if you're already in the area...), with some alcohol for sale and tasting. They're actually whisky won't be ready until 20...  more »
  • This is by far the smallest distillery I have ever seen. It is a practical working farm and doesn't distill all year round but everything is done by hand and on the smallest scale you have every seen,...  more »

  • The reason I like this place, besides that it makes Whisky (not whiskey 😜) is that when you visit you will see the rough and ready of making the water of life. No snazzy visitors centre, although it is very comfortable. You will walk through puddles between buildings and if you are in a big group you will feel crammed in the barrel store. This adds to the charm. This is best visited as a personal experience as the guide will talk to YOU, although I would imagine a larger group will benefit just as well. Amazing place, amazing setting!!! And a couple of drams at the end 👍🥃
  • Awesome - best distillery tour I have ever had; Laura was very informative and the tasting was awesome - thank you. Glad we made the effort to visit you from the Orkneys! It was a pleasure to meet Marko whose brilliance to identify the business opportunity and determination to make it happen are inspiring. You deserve the admiration and support of the islanders
  • Excellent distillery. Well worth visiting!
  • Most authentic distillery experience you are ever likely to get...if you are on Lewis...just go.
  • I and my wife have visited this distillery on a rainy and cold summer day on 9 July 2016. Because this distillery not the appearance of a Scottish distillery with its typical pagodadaken, we thought at first that we were wrong, but a friendly man beckoned us. His wife then gave us quick tour got in this mini-distillery. If whisky collector I have two bottles of this young malt purchased, not for its quality, but as gadget. The price is too high for its quality, but this will be dictated by the rarity. The malt has its minimum bearing behind the back, which is too short to be a good malt. The taste makes me more reminiscent of a Luxembourg eau-de-vie. You should of course start somewhere, making it understandable. I am curious to know how the tasting of a version that is going to be a longer maturation. Interesting is also the Hill after the distillery to drive until the road ends. A beautiful sightseeing in the wild nature is waiting for you.
