  • Beautiful location, easily accessible from village. Very interesting, well worth getting the audio headset that comes with your ticket fee. Lots of fascinating history in a very special place.
  • We spent a week on Iona at the B&B. We ordered a sack lunch each day and explored the island on foot. That was the only way to get around since you do not bring your vehicle on the island. You only see a small handful of cars and they belong to the residents there. We have such great memories of the place and the locals. Loved listening to their stories. We covered the entire island exploring different places everyday. Every time I see pictures I feel like I am back there for real. If I had one place I could visit over it would be Iona. Isle of Skye comes in second. You just never forget the impression people leave with you. Take me back!!!
  • One of the most valuable historical sites in the history of european Christianity and with no doubt one of the most important scottish relic.
  • A good drive and then short boat ride takes you to this amazing island. The abbey is absolutely stunning. Well worth the effort to see.
  • Founded by St Columbanus the Irish Missionary Monk. IONA has a special symbolic significance for Irish people. A very impressive collection of photos. I hope to visit IONA in the not too distant future.
  • Beautiful island and beautiful beaches.
