Quaint cottages, red-brick buildings, and rustic farmhouses are dotted throughout Blists Hill Victorian Town, an open-air museum recreating the conditions and lifestyle of a Victorian-era Shropshire town. • Really cool Victorian village. You can change your money to "old money" and buy old fashioned gifts and treats. My children loved the wooden toys, sweet shop and fun fair. I loved the handmade soaps, plaster decorative items, stationery and the printed cards and signs. It was fun, but educational too. And we were even able to bring the dog!
  • Great place for educational fun. No, really. Loads of places for the kids to explore and plenty to do and plan a second visit. You have to pay for parking, but it's not too expensive. It can be quite weather dependent, but we went when it was raining and still had a lot of fun. Advice is to go the bank first and give the kids some money to change into Victorian money they can spend in the town (the sweet shop is perfect for spending your farthings).
  • A real step back in time. Brilliantly well run. All volunteers realistically playing their part, there was so much to see. You really need to put one day aside if you have children, because there's loads to keep them occupied and busy. We purchased: tasty fish and chips, humbugs, coal tar soap (really took me back to my childhood?) postcards made in the printers and candles from the candle maker. We bought the Annual Passport - well worth the money.
  • Great day out with lots to see and do. The whole family will enjoy and being able to talk about how we lived as well as see it kept everybody entertained. Lots to do and see even going back to school wasn't that bad. We got an annual ticket which is excellent value for money.
  • Such a wonderful place to visit, we had so much fun. Little ones enjoyed swapping their money at the bank and going back in time. All the staff were wonderful and friendly and gave us loads of interesting facts. We got the annual pass and look forward to making use of it over the summer months
