  • A really fantastic experience for all ages. Changing your money at the bank and then buying the handmade products, made on site definitely adds to the experience. All the workers are very knowledgeable and more than happy to talk to visitors. There are often special displays and talks during the day. Bear in mind the pay and display car park is £2, but only accepts £1 and 50p coins.
  • Ghostly Gaslight at Blist's Hell was fantastic. The efforts made by the staff with regards to costumes, acting and frightening the kids was spectacular. This was an event that was well worth the money and should not be missed. The fish and chips were well worth the wait. I especially liked the gentleman in the chemist.
  • Great experience you can spend an entire day there easily you would not have seen everything two visits you see it all. They do special night events like Halloween etc. The "locals" are very nice and in character love the police officer and his dog (you better have a Victorian dog licence but if you don't he will kind enough to point you to the post office where you can buy them) also local pub serving nice ales best part was we asked for soft drinks I had my daughter with me the bar man response was "this is a PUB, we don't have that only beer" he was kind enough to point out if you want something like that you could visit the tea room upstairs. Also they have a fish and chips shops serving nice food oh and how could I forget immerse yourself even more by exchanging your new pounds to old pounds and shillings (you will be poor if you think you can get a old pound you need 69 new British pounds for that!) Everyone in the town accept old money. The bank manager is a really nice guy too. Anyway great place I could be here forever so many things I have not talked about like the house rides, the fair etc a must go place to visit.
  • This place is amazing! Large parking, excellent reasonably priced gift shop. Your never shy walking around of a place to eat, drink or go to the toilet. This place is in a world of its own. Hit the shops, take the children to the fair, go to the pub or sit and have your very own school lesson. Venture into houses, come across some lovely historic people that have some lovely tales to tell.
  • Amazing place. They also got a £10m lottery grant a couple of years ago and have added to it extensively. We went on august bank holiday weekend, and it didn't feel like a big deal to the staff (I was expecting this to be the busiest weekend of their year, so the whole village works be on it, but it felt like an average Wednesday). Overall, had a great time and I definitely recommend it.
