  • Great for a stroll by the boats. Plenty of places to eat including a Pizza Express. The town centre is only a ten minute walk away.  more »

  • Great place for a gentle walk on a nice dry day. Plenty of food places and pubs. Some expensive boats to envy. Close to town centre so worth a visit if you are in town on a visit. Parking nest university building is best but not that cheap, £5 all day is best value.
  • Lovely spot BUT parking in Ipswich is a nightmare. University leave car park open at night but then threaten £100 fine for no permit. Council & university should work together to help drivers and council/uni coffers. Not enough sensibly priced restaurants on Waterfront and so much private but empty parking at night. Looked at leaving car near an unfinished building locals call the 'Wine Rack' ..NO WAY ..Expected Stately, Hutch & Buggy Bear to be brawling next to car.
  • Lovely revamped waterfront overlooking the marina in the centre of Ipswich. Lots of places to eat and drink, as well as a hotel, Dance East, the University all looking out on to the boats and yachts moored on the water. Great for a stroll or just pulling up at one of the outside tables ordering a beer and watch the world roll by.
  • Nice area that I visit to see my daughter who is at the nearby Uni. Good choice of places to eat and drink overlooking the boats and river.
  • It's nice in the summer but the water is quite dirty sometimes. In any case, this is one of the best parts of Ipswich.
