  • If you are in the Ipswich area I thoroughly recommend this gem of a museum!! The whole exhibition area is well laid out and the signage is very informative. The staff/volunteers are very welcoming and helpful. The exhibits are presented and restored to the highest standards. All the main manufacturers from the Ipswich area are represented and the equipment and vehicles are varied from a humble lawnmower to a massive drag line excavator.
  • Great place for having nice day with the family or transport enthusiasts it has a nice place to relax with a cup of tea with a snack. It has friendly members of staff that are always happy to answer any questions. There areas for kids to play and most of the busses are open for you to explore and learn of the local history.
  • A good collection ask related to Ipswich. Some good activities for children and interesting exhibits for adults. Plus you can ring the bell on a fire engine!
  • Great museum with loads of fascinating exhibits of vehicles with local links. The restoration work is outstanding
  • We enjoyed several hours of nostalgia. What a gem, run by volunteers the museum has a large collection of local historic vehicles. We finished the day off with a trip around Ipswich on a old double decker all included in the entry price.
