  • OK, we visited on a Sunday, but I would still expect a market to be open for business, particularly non-food stalls. Alas, no. I was expecting so much of Inverness as my father had been stationed here...  more »
  • Was hoping for a historically rich and interesting market to visit but it turned out to be just a place with not so special shops. The building itself must be packed with history and is worth a visit ...  more »
  • Our expectations were not met at all with the Victorian Markets. Many shops had closed and others not worth browsing. We walked in one side and out the other.

  • Mostly independent small businesses. From Jewellers, sovenier and kilts and bag pipes. Also other food and general retailers.
  • I can't say I had a particularly victorian experience... Plenty of typical market style shops.
  • We really love this place because it has a special Retro-Atmosphere. We found a Music Shop here and bought a Tin Whistle.
  • Unfortunately the Victorian Market is highly understated... It has a unique variety of local shops which the local people, that find their way through will tell you. The atmosphere is friendly & the shop keepers are always helpful & will actually smile while they assist you. It has the added advantage of being indoors & you can amble through at your leisure.
  • This place was a waste of time. Most of the shops were closed and there were even piles of stock in front of a shop which ruined the atmosphere.
