  • A typical shopping centre with the usual suspects in terms of shops. Has a few fast food places to eat as well which can get very busy at times. Not a must see by any means but decent for shopping.  more »
  • In the heart of Inverness near train station is a large-scale State-of-the-art shopping mall called "Eastgate Centre". All universal retail chains and well-known brands are there to be found (e.g. H&M, Claire's, Lush, Primark). There are also numerous restaurants (including espresso, pizza, bakery). In Rose St. Garage you can park the car at a cheap hourly rate.

  • Took a quick trip here to get some dinner whilst shopping for good walking and all weather clothing. Very nice place with lots of shops and a big open food court. Easy access to train station and taxi rank. Parking was £2 for 3hours.
  • Bought a wonderful hat and other accessories to go with my kilt. Rather expensive, but worth the shop. Inverness is a wonderful City that has loads to offer. Just down the road is Loch Ness, another fine destination. Why not get the shopping bags out and have fun, even if you only want to window shop, 🤗.
  • Good open areas in the centre however some of the shops have very narrow spaces between items, which can be an issue with my wheels. Staff are helpful and happy in most stores.
  • Great place to shop many different choices on clothing, toys, games, electronics, accessories and more! If your feeling hungry you can grab a bite to eat at KFC, subway pizza hut and more! All inside this great shopping centere!
  • Pretty standard shopping centre never has much going on and there's limited choice ok if you want clothes or a phone but nothing much else really

Where to stay in Inverness

You’ll easily find bed and breakfasts and guesthouses convenient to the center of town in Inverness, from the cozy to more large-scale places, often with a view down to the River Ness, which later joins Loch Ness. For more affordable accommodation, look for a few budget hostels, as well as camping and caravan sites. If you've got a car, consider staying just outside the city in a quiet village, where you can explore the city by day and nature by evening. Since this is the largest city in the Highlands, you'll probably be able to find something last minute, but if you have a specific type of accommodtion in mind, it's a good idea to book in advance.
