A major reason for visiting Inverness, Castle Gallery displays contemporary and applied art from Scotland and around the world. The centrally located gallery occupies a building from the 18th century. Its constantly changing exhibits highlight modern developments in painting and sculpture, as well as the latest trends in handmade prints, ceramics, fine jewelry, and glassworks. The gallery remains devoted to showcasing both established artists and emerging talent, housing notable works by Natalie Aird, Blandine Anderson, and David Carter. Nearby you can also explore the grounds of the city's landmark castle.
