  • We visited Traquair as 2 couples when my friends were visiting from Canada. Very reasonable admission costs. The house was very interesting, the best part however was the ale tasting! The cafe is grea...  read more »
  • A short but fascinating visit that was full of so much history and information. Amazing to think that it is still in the same family through so much turmoil. The brewery adds an interesting story also...  read more »
  • Decided we would go visit Tranquair House as were staying in the area, what an interesting place to wander around, one of the oldest houses in Scotland with a load of history attached to it, the staff...  read more »
  • Beautiful historic castle still used as a family home. Great adjacent brewery with award winning real ales. Lovely gardens and maze to explore. Good day out in a stunning part of the country.
  • I was here for the Medieval Fayre and I had a blast! The house itself is in superb condition, the maze is well looked after, and the people I met were all very kind. I enjoyed how well the exhibits were kept, the beer, and how they host so many community events in such a nice environment.
  • Spent the day at Traquair House as part of a team away day. We were given the second library for our team of 12 and it was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the resources were what we needed. We were set a challenge in the maze which was actually good fun and got to do a better tasting which was unsurprisingly superb. There only downside to the whole thing was that the house was so stunning and our schedule so tight that we didn't get to look around and explore the other rooms. I recommend seeing some time aside if you are going there for a corporate gig just to have a snoop around.
  • The House is fine but cafe is to be avoided. Filthy teapot and mould in milk jug plus £3.50 for tasteless small coffee. Don't go there.
  • So much to see here. The maze is great fun. Don't miss out on the great products of the house brewery!
