  • I went for the first time and was delighted. A good variety of informative displays and I learned new things about the history of the area. I found myself wanting to spend in the museum shop to support keeping the gem of a place open!
  • Love this place! Nicely maintained and they hold regular events throughout the year and a victorian beach for the school summer holidays. The cafe is extremely good value and run by lovely ladies who don't mind my child is a bit extra "bouncy" they alway greet with a smile and make the best cheese sandwich in Ilkeston
  • A small Museum to learn about local history and the Ilson folk who have lived here for years. They do have special events on during the year so contact the Museum or Erewash Borough Council to find out what's on. Coffee shop is now open when the museum is open. Well worth a visit
  • Very enjoyable. A dinosaur event was fantastic. Very well thought out with activities for children. Helpful staff.
  • Lovely little museum, we visited for their Circus Skills event during half term. Didnt get to see the museum in as much detail as I'd have liked but got a brief look and we will be visiting again. Little cafe and set of toilets
