  • A beautiful place to visit for the whole family. After a leisurely walk round the harbour or the pier, there's plenty of shops to visit to help run up an appetite. Then it's off to the chippy, or a bit of pub grub to finish the day off nicely. If you don't fancy that, try a boat trip instead. You never know, the dolphins might be out, playing around the cliffs. The photos are from around Ilfracombe Harbour, a real place of adventure......😊👍
  • Nice harbour. Aquarium was great. Plenty of shops/bars/restaurants on the quayside. Boat trips and boat fishing is well catered for. The huge Verity statue at the harbour entrance was impressive. Plenty of observation space and car parking. All the kids I saw there were having a great time!
  • Beautiful place and have some interesting things to see. The Verity statue looks fascinating and there's the elephant head (shaped) was also very interesting to see. And the view from the top of the chapel was spectacular. It was an enjoyable day for us and I considered it as the highlight of our holiday. The village itself looks lovely, I recommend this place for a visit.
  • If you are in North Devon then make sure you visit this lovely harbour town. The high street at the top of the hill isn't much to speak of, but the harbour and water front are wonderful. Lots of tourist tat shops, art galleries, ice cream stands, and many places to eat and drink. The rnli have a station there which is interesting to see and the rugged coast line is breathtaking.
  • Really liked this place. Good parking good cafe and shops . Lots of boat rides and sea fishing. Toilets.Interesting sculpture of Verity by Damien Hurst. Even a mini beach outside the Royal Britannia Hotel with a balcony so parents can sit and watch the kids relaxing while watching them play below on the beach. Could spend a whole day there easy.
