  • Great place to wander around and spend a pleasant hour or so just chilling. You can sit and watch the waves, or the kids playing in the harbour when the tide has gone out. There are places to eat, get...  more »
  • Very nice harbour surrounded by beautiful Victorian buildings. I came here when I was going to go to Lundy island on the boat MS Oldenburg. The harbour is a beautiful and lovely place with St Nicholas...  more »
  • One of our most favourite places. We stroll along the prom, eat pasties and visit the seaside pubs. The town is quiet and typically seaside and brings back memories of my childhood.

  • Typical seaside harbour. Plenty to do and lots of shops. Beaches were not as clean but that's to be expected when it had boats etc! Dog loved it though! Been there 3 times now! Only thing that ruined our day there yesterday was a sandwich shop on the harbour that sold us a crab sandwich that when we came to eat it on the beach found that it was crab paste and not real crab?! Found that bizarre when we are in a harbour especially when it was advertised as crab....
  • So peaceful. Little gentle waves perfect for the little ones to play in
  • Lovely place, shame no swimming in the harbour tho. Apart from that great little spot.
  • Always something going on. The local cafes are excellent, the fudge shop on the quay is yummy and a walk to the harbour is very picturesque, often with visiting boats. At low tide the harbour is sand and a nice walk, dog friendly town too! Often there are Victorian and food festivals / events - check the town website for details.
  • Had a great week..stayed at admirals house...right on the harbour. Only downsides....Some shops/bars etc not open on mondays/Tuesdays!
