  • Absolutely great Park..Not so big as children get bored, just enough walking and terrific play park. Cafe is friendly and we'll priced, coffee was gorgeous!! Not a bad 'free' day out...picnic areas are well maintained although some people 'camp' on mass on the benches having barbecues...always a little worried about fire hazards around young children who are running about freely. All in all though, myself and the Cooke family enjoyed our new find.
  • Live taking the kids and dog here. Well maintained, Interesting nature walks, good quality play park and a nice little veggie cafe serving wholesome home made food.
  • A nice place for a day out with a good little cafe for lunch. They only serve vegetarian food but it tastes good!
  • Nice for a few hours of fresh air and some decent views in the valley. Better to go early if you want it peaceful as it does get busier around lunch.
  • Don't bring young children! too many loose dogs! This place looked like a lovely family environment for myself and my 9 year old son. Very well maintained and lot of lovely small well paved walks lined with trees and shrubs. One problem. Dogs are not on their leads. As we set out it wasn't long before three dogs come bounding down, heading towards us some way from their owners. Now I don't mind dogs but my son who has been bitten twice by dogs (unprovoked by him) shouted out to call the dogs off as they ran past me and started jumping up at his face. The owners called the dogs off but weren't quick of the mark to do so. I'm sure the dogs meant no harm but it shook my son up. 5 minutes later, as we got further along the paved route, two large and aggressive dogs came running to us barking with no owner in sight. My son cried out in fear as I shouted at the dogs to keep back. The owner then appeared and shouted at the dogs to keep back. But she made no action to restrain them. My son who was very upset and wanted to go home. This place is spoilt by the fact the dogs are not on a lead in a public place. It's not family friendly and I advise families with young children to keep away.
