  • We've been herev many times and it's well worth a visit, just outside Hythe and up the hill (by car advised). It's great for scenery and walks - also for walking the doggy and flying toy gliders for t...  read more »

  • Nice for a few hours of fresh air and some decent views in the valley. Better to go early if you want it peaceful as it does get busier around lunch.
  • Don't bring young children! too many loose dogs! This place looked like a lovely family environment for myself and my 9 year old son. Very well maintained and lot of lovely small well paved walks lined with trees and shrubs. One problem. Dogs are not on their leads. As we set out it wasn't long before three dogs come bounding down, heading towards us some way from their owners. Now I don't mind dogs but my son who has been bitten twice by dogs (unprovoked by him) shouted out to call the dogs off as they ran past me and started jumping up at his face. The owners called the dogs off but weren't quick of the mark to do so. I'm sure the dogs meant no harm but it shook my son up. 5 minutes later, as we got further along the paved route, two large and aggressive dogs came running to us barking with no owner in sight. My son cried out in fear as I shouted at the dogs to keep back. The owner then appeared and shouted at the dogs to keep back. But she made no action to restrain them. My son who was very upset and wanted to go home. This place is spoilt by the fact the dogs are not on a lead in a public place. It's not family friendly and I advise families with young children to keep away.
  • A smallish but well-maintained park, lake, playground, and café. Picnic tables to eat own food on. Great for the kids for a little adventure. The park is somewhat hilly so wheelchair access is limited but access to café is good. Café food is great and good value.
  • I've been to the country park three times now and it's never failed to disappoint! Perfect for all ages and a great place to take kids for the day. Countryfile were filming last time we went however I can't guarantee that'll happen again:). The Café is good and food is of good standard too, cheesy chips, that's what I'd recommend. The trails are great and very scenic. Wildlife thrives there as well, that's never been down at all. Overall a great day at for all ages and a fun way to exercise as it also has a decent play park. • Great day out for the family
