This is a great museum to for kids and adults. Full of local history and interesting objects. They dated an old telephone I owned a few years back and when they asked if they could display it, I was more than happy to as the staff are so nice and welcoming.
Takes me back to my childhood. Funny thing is, a lot of the displays are as they were then. Really interesting, wish there was more
The Tolson Memorial Museum is a great place to take the family, lots of local history, very diverse in content, so something for everyone. I am a visitor to the area and found the experience enjoyable. The building is beautiful and housed in a park where you can sit and the children can play. The staff were very helpful and we had a very nice cup of tea with fresh milk which cost only £1 each. The toilets are fine and the shop has plenty of nice gifts and snacks. My granddaughter would enjoy a visit I'm sure. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
A beautiful museum free entry and helpful staff.
