On holiday near Huddersfield, thought we would look round, quite nice around the town, nice shops, not so good at the in door market, a bit shabby, cheap car parking. more »
I may be biased, as I was born and bred, however I think Huddersfield is a lovely town. Sure, close to the centre it's quite rough, like most places these days, but in all honesty, when I visit places... more »

Awful customer service. Car is under warranty. They rang and tried to charge me £60 to update software on the radio. I refused and it suddenly came down to £30. I refused it again. Turns out the technician had already done the job prior to them trying to charge me for it. I'd been sent a video via email in which he said software had been updated. No mention of the job even being done when I came in to collect my car. Saw the video after car was picked up. They try to make a fool out of customers so it seems.
Poor customer service. I love old Volkswagens, but parts are becoming more and more scarce. I have very occasionally phoned this dealer to try and source parts and advice. Time and time again the receptionists here do a very poor job of pretending to care when I call or visit and almost turn their noses up. I have been fobbed off, lied to, transferred to dead lines, ignored and nearly ripped off on one occasion. The people I see going here to buy a car are greeted with a warm smile, handshake and offered refreshments. Clearly I'm not spending enough of my money. I now travel to another VW dealer if i need something for my car. The journey is another 10 miles but I get the service I expect from such a high profile company.
Purchased a used vehicle last Friday and the service from Charlotte, Ian and the team was fantastic. Buying a car, for me, is never a pleasurable experience but these guys made it such. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and any query or issue i have had has been dealt with immediately. Brilliant. Would buy from them again and would recommend.
Good showroom but customer service needs to improve.
This has to be the worst dealership I have experienced in my 20 year experience of buying cars!! Dropped off my 8 week old GTI off to look at a rattle in the parcel shelf. For some reason they took the car on a 15 mile trip just to see whether their was an issue with the parcel shelf - okay 15 miles for a minor rattle in the parcel shelf? bloody joke! Got my car back and he had found it left in sport mode.. Clearly the car had been abused by the dealers who claim they 'had to test the car in eco, normal and sport' just to see if they could hear this rattle and the car was 'driving ok'... My fuel range had dropped 35 miles and the excuse for this was 'we had to use the AC on full to dry your windows after it was washed'... okay so AC was left on full for what 15 mins or so and the range dropped 35 miles? Utter bullsh*t from the manager! Clearly the car had been washed and taken for a 'spin' to dry it off - especially when the car had dirt streaks along the back wing. Then to find out the technicians started work on the car at 10am and had finished it for 12pm but I wasnt called until 4pm to come and collect his car - had to miss his university lecture (Dealers couldnt even drop my son off 5 miles down the road to Uni of Huddersfield because they had no 'cars/drivers available') just so he could collect his car in order to make it back home to bradford. The communication between departments is beyond a joke! Would not recommend this sh*t dealer to anyone! They are offer a good service when they want your money but other than that they will find every excuse under the sun to fob you off - especially the managers! Our car will not be going back to this dealership ever again, cannot trust them with the responsibility of looking after a customers car. Will not be buying a VW ever again.
