  • Visited here whilst in the area. Well worth a visit for the views alone. We visited in autumn but it would make a great place for a picnic on a sunny summers day.
  • Lovely fresh walk in the crisp snow today. Brilliant views all around. Have been up the monument often for an even better view. Parking right there so no need to worry about walking too far. An ideal ...  more »
  • Beautiful spot with some of the best views to be had- you can see for miles. However it is spoiled by chavs. Nothing is sacred from them unfortunately so if you can see past that then it's worth a vis...  more »

  • Nice place through the day, only ruined by all the litter left by the evening visitors who deem it acceptable to launch all their fast food packaging out of their window into the car park and surrounding roads. Just missing a pub at the top, oh, wait..
  • One of my favourite places to go. The views are amazing, some beautiful places. It is quite windy and if taking children be careful of the edges as there are no railings. We take our 3&5 year olds and they love it. Ideal for flying a kite and having a picnic. The road leading to the carpark is very steep and clutch control needed!!!
  • Spectacular views over Huddersfield and the Colne Valley on a clear day. Can be quite windy as its very exposed, and this can make it rather chilly even on a sunny day. The Victoria Tower is a well know landmark and worth a wander up if open and you want to see even more off the landscape (be warned it’s not free entry, but it is really cheap). My rating is based on the view's.
  • Used to be marvellous place, with a thriving pub & restaurant with toilets..... Ruined by the Thandi Brothers😡😡😡 Now just the Victoria tower, and although beautiful in its own right, we could do with a visitor centre and some more facilities, better car park, which would draw big crowds once again to this historic monument. Such a shame Kirklees council have not stepped in with a compulsory purchase order within the last 2 decades!
  • awesome place to visit, especially when you get to go inside the victorian tower, also a great place for pokemon go as so far i've got 3 pikachu's there and there are 2 gyms and pokestops
