  • Well maintained with knowledgable staff. Good variety of activities for young and old & can spend an hour walking round or whole day. Plenty to see in the woodpecker hide & if your lucky the kingfishers can be very close.
  • A lovely place to visit birds saw an osphrey took 2 3 hrs to walk round well worth a visit
  • Friendly and peaceful, had the thrill of spotting the kingfisher. Saw lots of bluetits at the next roomy hide. Had to drag the children away at the end of the day. Lovely clean picnic area and simple, reasonable tea room. Easy to get to, lots of parking. We loved our day here and look forward to seeing it again at a different time of the year...
  • This is a lovely place to come if you want a short quiet walk. I'm guessing that it's even better if you are a bird enthusiast. It was annoying that they couldn't take card, as once I had paid my entrance fee, I didn't have enough cash for a hot chocolate.
  • Beautiful little reserve. Generally wheelchair accessible. Large lake with good variety of waterfowl and look out for the kingfishers. Normally on view. Four bird hides offer good views.
