Horsey Beach, Horsey
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Come face to face with grey seals at Horsey Beach, the mainland mating place where you can take a peek into the lives of these sea animals. Walk on the paved paths around the area up to the dunes 2 km (1.25 mi) from the parking lot. Sip tea or coffee at one of the many cafes and restaurants available right there on the beach and catch sight of cow (momma) seals resting with their little pups. The wind on the shore can get strong, so consider bringing a jacket. Operators recommend staying back at least 15 m (49 ft) from seals. A beautiful, wide, wild beach with the bonus of a big seal colony found by walking South towards Winterton.
This is a lovely clean quiet beach. Seals can be seen in the sea at any time and if you are really lucky there can be several of them lying on the beach. There is a paying car park.
