We are so lucky to have this beautiful country park down the road. It is perfect for a stroll in the woods and the climb up Butser Hill is ideal to work off the roast dinner on a Sunday afternoon. The...  more »

On Tuesday we went to Queen Elizabeth Country park. To be honest I was expecting a big park with a snack shack and not much else. How wrong I was, ample parking, wide open spaces with beautiful mown g...  more »

  • Great place for walking, rambling, enjoying the scenery and wildlife. Easy walking routes, either on or off tarmac surfaces; the park is dog-friendly, for well-behaved dogs and owners! Great off-road mountain bike tracks that are good for young beginners through to much more experienced levels. Car parking is extensive, either close to the park information centre, or drive in to the park, deep in to the forest. BBQ pits can be rented at a number of locations around the park, or there is a cafe next to the information centre. Great day out for young and not so young 😊
  • Love it here. Great views over the downs and a great place for all. Signposted walks and mountain bike trials. Facilities at both the top and bottom car parks with BBQ areas and benches throughout the park. Great for dogs and children with a play park and opens spaces.
  • Went for some trail mountain biking. Would thorougly recommend it if its dry like today. There are two trails there: -A nice blue with some reasonably gentle climbing and some good quick flowy downhill. -A tricky red (was probably a bit tired by this point!) with some quite tricky climbing and some tricky but good downhill (about right for a red trail) Good cafe and all day parking was a very reasonable £3.50 to top it off.
  • A lovely day out for all the family. You can walk for miles, see some amazing sites, enjoy a picnic or BBQ, explore the forest and South Downs National Park or a wonder around the visitor centre & cafe. Highly recommend.
  • It is a lovely park. There are a few trails for walking, running, horseriding and cycling. Parking fee is reasonable. There is a place for the children to play, so it is family friendly.
