  • Spent the entire day there with my 3 year old son who loved every minute. Mainly staffed by volunteers who were friendly enough but a bit disorganised. It's not cheap (£20+ for me and son) So I'd expe...  read more »
  • All Things Wild is a all year round, all weather family attraction. It is a fantastic place to visit. They have a wide selection of animals and they also have a dinosaur field with over 25 life size dinosaurs! If you don't fancy walking around they sometimes have their land train up and running, perfect for little legs. They have plenty of talks which will include animal handling- they also have craft sessions and hold different types of events during certain times of the year. They have an indoor beach, soft play area and cafe too! The staff are also friendly and helpful!
  • We had a brilliant day out for our sons 4th birthday. It was horrible weather but we braved the dinosaur trail which was brilliant, went to the barn to pet the farm animals and went on the train to see Father Christmas. There was so much to do we didn't get round it all due to weather but the indoor facilities made up for that. Two soft play areas, an indoor tractor riding area, a sand play area, activity area for crafts etc and a large room hosting a child's birthday party. We also have a one year old who had an equally good day. Can't wait to go back with better weather!
  • As with many petting zoos / animal farms I was expecting a few hutches with overpriced food and limited facilities. However, All Things Wild is definitely not this! A brilliant place to go and spend the day with the family. Friendly welcoming staff, clean facilities and plenty to do. Soft play for the littleuns, lunch was reasonably priced (although the ice cream is a bit dear!). The animal handling / interaction is great and there is a large variety to see. Thankfully it has a small business rather than a large corporate feel. You can see they invest well in the animal welfare, enclosures and facilities for visitors. There are lots of indoor activities, such as the pedal tractors, 2 soft play areas, reptile area, wildlife exhibit, cafe and shop along with party area and puzzle area. Outside there is plenty to see and do, feeding deer, handling animals, the meerkat feeding and lemur walk through all add to the enjoyment of the place. The entry price for adults is fair considering the facilities and time you can spend there, our daughter is a bit young yet to make full use of ways available but for under 3's it's free so no gripes there! I think another price bracket for 3 - 7/8 year olds could help with younger families who may not be able to take advantage of everything there but it's only a small observation. Well done for a well thought out centre and I will definitely visit again!
  • Great value annual pass if you live locally as it's a good location on a wet afternoon with lots of indoor activities
  • The Trust is now under new management and in the process of reopening. Our family had a great afternoon - watching the day old chicks, stroking the barn owl and the young meerkats. The new indoor soft play area is a great addition in place of the old stuffy museum. Although not all the areas are yet reopened, there was still plenty to see and do. Another improvement is the hardcore paths in place of the old muddy trails. Although we ran out of time, the tea shop looked very enticing. The main improvement we'd like to see is a greater range of birds for sale. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the friendly helpful staff for regenerating the Trust.
