  • Fantastic little island that you can easily walk around in a day. Nice views and you can often see seals swimming in the from the North East of the island.
  • A beautiful, unspoilt island nature reserve. Lots of footpaths around the island allow easy exploration. The village community has pubs, hotels and shops. Keep an eye (and ear) out for the hundreds of grey seals that congregate on the sand bars when the tide is out.
  • It's a place to visit when the weather is warm.Have to go with warm clothing as there is nowhere to buy extra clothing if you are cold. Some lovely walks.
  • A beautiful, remote island packed full of history and charm. Cut off from the mainland by a tidal causeway, Holy island is a brilliant place to bring the family. Visit the historical ruins, the castle, local shops and the beaches. A great local day out. Look out for the seals playing in the bay L
  • I've previously lived on the island, and would often spend summer evenings seal watching. The seals are still here & are happily thriving.
