  • I love this place. They do a lot of good events, Scenery is beautiful
  • I have been here twice, and it is wonderful. Shakespeare taught here, and the hall with the table that was built there that cannot be removed is to be seen. The dungeons are also to be seen. Both visits were great. A must to be visited.
  • Was a great day, except for the weather #classic car show
  • Good when the motorcycle Sprint is on
  • 5 star food in a 1 star room. This is a case of the web site is better than the venue. !! Had the £15.99 Tea with my partner that is EACH !! We expected at this price and reading the write-ups a clean ( posh ? ) tea room. Looking around at other halls that offered the same service and better settings for a lot less, we truly expected this to be excellent. Sadly it was but for the wrong reasons. The tea room was dull and dowdy, uncountable chipped wicker chairs. Plus stained table cloths. 1980’s Lighting dull and drab the ones that worked, at the end of the room was the counter and till. I believe the restaurant is the same room. No complaints at all on the service and the food ( lovely ) BUT WELL OVER PRICED !!!! I think I was charged for a top up on a cup of tea. Adding insult to injury. Nearly £40 for two. Don’t get me wrong if it was more like it was advertised it would be better but still expensive for what you get. WE have had high teas at tea rooms all around, and this was by far the biggest let down. Sadly on our 5th anniversary together.
