  • The woods offer walks of varying lengths in beautiful, well maintained woodland, with ample car parking and clean toilets
  • We live near Hockley Woods and are frequent visitors. The woods are well managed and are beautiful in all seasons.

  • Hockley woods is an ancient woodland with much improved paths and signage. The car par has recently introduced a nominal charge to prevent weekday parking for the station. Weekends are free. There's a posy area and picnic benches too and usually some sort if food van.
  • Went here for the outdoor cinema, watched Harry Potter. Very well maintained woods, plenty of parking and good facilities like public toilets. There are several shops like Sainsbury's and Co-op just down the road too - so great for getting a picnic or snack sorted.
  • Great day out if you have the right weather.
  • Hockley Woods are really beautiful and very well maintained, especially great paths. We go often with dog so he can have a run off the lead. Also a great place for families as prams etc would be fine on the paths. And at 20p per hour parking, it's a real bargain.
  • Lovely forest and great to see in summer or winter
