  • I always enjoy visiting Hitchin Market. Friday's are great for antiques and collectables where there is an excellent selection of stalls. Sundays are brilliant too as anyone can hire a stall to sell their secondhand stuff. You get a real mix as some regular traders are open as well.
  • Great market, Antiques on a Friday but open Tuesday and Saturday also, anything you want is there, if it's jewellery to buy or for the fun of making it yourself go to Laura's Beads, Hats? See Mr H, material for recovering chairs or for curtains see Johnny, and for the finest of disposable wares of plates, cake tins, knifes and forks, knapkins in fact anything for a wedding or party or even a humble Bbq go and see John. Local traders often provide better service and products than the main stores so help them and support them. Tuesdays, Friday's and Saturdays make a point of popping down and see for yourself.
  • Loads on offer, not just regular market but car boot twice a week as well, plus the town is steeped in history, people are very friendly, with lovely coffee shops and eateries.
  • Lovely family day out, if the whether is good. Loads of shops including chastity.
  • Really good market - not huge, but stalls with all the usual, kitchen and homeware etc. There's a great fabric stand and a separate haberdashery stall (everything you could need: wools, elastics, trims, buttons, zips etc) - there's clothes, records - and superb food from all around the world. If you want to get yourself some really good chorizo, jollof paste, west indian brands or THE BEST sausages, go and check it out! :)
